Postdoctoral researchers in computational alloy science
Our group in the Interdisciplinary Science Research Division at the Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, invites applications for one or two postdoctoral positions in alloy thermodynamics and machine-learning-enabled materials research.
Who we are looking for
Applicants should hold, or expect to receive shortly, a doctoral degree in mathematics, physics, chemistry, materials science, metallurgy, data science, computer science, or a related field. Candidates should have relevant research experience or a strong interest in thermodynamic calculations for alloy materials, machine learning, or both.
Research environment
The work will be based at the Institute of Metal Research in Shenyang and will connect computational thermodynamics, atomistic simulation, machine-learning interatomic potentials, and data-driven alloy design. Annual compensation is no less than RMB 300,000.
